As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have a passion for helping people strengthen and heal their relationships. I am committed to helping my clients learn new skills and ways to connect with their partners or family members by developing a deeper and more authentic emotional connection. I thrive on helping my clients work through life’s difficulties, assisting them in finding joy, and the strength needed to reach their full potential. I strive to ensure that I understand my client’s unique needs and aims to provide therapy and counseling sessions tailored specifically to those needs. It is important to me to offer a kind, honest, and straight-forward approach to therapy, allowing for trusting relationships to be built. I have extensive experience in working with couples and family distress, pre/post-divorce, adolescents, depression, anxiety, women’s issues and trauma.
I use a strength-based approach to help my clients uncover self-compassion, self-acceptance, and a greater understanding of who they are and what their individual needs are in order to communicate those needs and fully connect with the important people in their lives. The therapeutic approaches used in therapy may include: Family/Systems Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Emotionally Focused (EFT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Structural techniques.
Education and Training

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received my masters degree from Argosy University. I also earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah. In addition, I have received post-graduate specialty training in EMDR, an externship in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as completing a certification course on the Gottman method couples therapy Level 1 taught by founders John & Julie Gottman.
Interests/Hobbies

In my free time, you will find me trying to plan my next trip or new adventure. I enjoy traveling, camping, paddleboarding, hiking, playing pickleball and sometimes just snuggling up with a good book in my hammock. I love to constantly be learning and continuing my education, but what I love most is spending time with my family and friends laughing and creating memories. I am so excited to get to know you and see what you create with your life!
